Each year, the Vancouver Electric Vehicle Association organises
an electric vehicle show and ride. This event has become known
as "Ride Electric Vehicles!" (REV!).
Since its inception, one of the founding principles of this event
has been that it be more than just a static display of electric vehicles.
Much of the appeal of electric vehicles doesn't sink in until one
has ridden in them, so VEVA encourages its exhibitors to offer test
rides to the public. (Some exhibitors even make their vehicles
available for the public to test drive.) And, of course, some vehicles
are strictly on static display.
Date: The Canadian
Environment Week Act states that
"Throughout Canada, in every year, the week that includes June 5 shall
be kept and observed under the name of Canadian Environment Week".
REV! is usually held on the Saturday at the end of Canadian Environment Week.
The REV 2012 show
is coming June 2012 to Concord Pacific Place.
Pland to come down and see all kinds of Electric Vehicles on display.
As always, it's FREE and EV rides on bikes, scooters and in cars,
featuring our stately 1912 Detroit will run all day for the curious.
