Administration tents ... A team of dedicated volunteers were busy all day serving up information while a crew of Scouts served up hot dogs, pop, chips, cookies and coffee. The BC Lung Association gave away free kites and people even flew them onsite!

The e-Bike Info and test ride area ... This was one busy area as there was lots of interest in the slick Merida prize e-bike. The battery lasted a surprising six hours with people sometimes queueing up for test rides! Cambie Cyles had custom electric recumbents and push-electric trailers on display and there were a host of other bikes also being ridden including the ever-popular Currie-retrofits.

Cars - the Main EVent ... Production hybrid gas-electric cars such as the new Honda Civic Hybrid (courtesy of Carter Honda), the exotic 80 MPG Honda Insight and the Toyota Prius were well-represented at this year's show. Conversions from BC, Washington and Oregon were on display and their owners answered questions and gave test rides.

Our 1912 Detroit Electric ... Dozens of people thrilled to the unique experience of riding in such an historic vehicle. Although it belongs to VEVA, the vehicle now makes its home at the BC Hydro Museum in the Fraser Valley.

The Electrathon Racers ... Four Vancouver high schools entered the morning high school race and the afternoon open race had some of the same racers pitting themselves against professional teams such as Dave Cloud's group from Seattle and the local Delta-Q entry.

Two and four-wheeled terrors ... Rich Rudman brought Goldie, the tire-smoking Fiesta and his 10 HP Mini-Bike from Hell. Don Crabtree (also known as Father Time) brought along his 1/8 and 1/4 mile drag bikes. Dragon Rose, the red bike, is 156 volts of 16 amp/hr Hawker Genesis batteries with a DCP Raptor 1200 controller. NEDRA class MT/D current World Record holder. 12.531 second ET at 97.75 MPH. He also provided hours of thrills to riders in his 50 HP electric golf-cart.

Haulers ... The high torque of DC electric motors makes them good at hauling heavy loads. Here are some examples of vehicles used on farms and in factories. Canadian Electric Vehicles brought their Might-E Tug haulers.
